I also own a couple of larger mixers of name brands that are real workhorses, but none of them work as easily and with as much flexibility as this Ryobi. This is not an industrial grade machine and would not be adequate for high volume, daily use on commercial jobs. However, for the serious DYIer, it does the job with ease and it is priced right. The steel drum is well made, the framework is sturdy, and the motor has sufficient torque to handle up to three 80 lb bags of concrete. I especially like the ability to rotate the drum assembly to the side for loading or dumping. As long as the mixer is on level ground, it remains quite stable even when side dumping. My wheelbarrow use has been reduced by rolling this mixer close to the work area and dumping directly into a footer or slab/sidewalk form. Once that area is full, simply roll the mixer to the next area and repeat. The only "cheapie" part of this mixer is the wheels. They are plastic and its already obvious they wont stand much abuse when rolling over rough terrain. I intend to replace them with some larger, flat-free tires, but I first need to modify the frame axle design to accept standard 5/8" diameter axle wheels.Over the course of a couple weeks, Ive already mixed about 60 bags of stucco and 40 of concrete. No problems, unusually quiet operation, and fast and thorough mixing. Aside from the wheels, this was a very good investment. Good job Ryobi!?LessRenovationMan ??
