The Balvenie Scotch Whisky, Single Malt, Doublewood 12 - 750 ml

The Balanvie, located in Speyside, Scotland, is a distillery of tru tradition. They still grow their own barley and use with a traditional malting floor, the last of its kind in the Scottish Highlands. The distillerys resident coppersmith maintains the stills and the team of coopers ensure each barrel is in perfect condition. Of course, the Malt Master, David Stewart presides over the all-important maturation process, working to find ways to improve each and every drop. Aged in refill American oak casks before being finished in first fill European oak Sherry casks, DoubleWood is an excellent example of what the Balvenie distillery can craft. Even at 12 years the character and depth of this dram is something to behold.
